About Me

My name is Jodie Truex (Thus, True(X) Kid's Ministry and I am a Children's Pastor with a passion for ministering to children and training others to do the same!  I am married to an awesome man who has served in Youth ministries for over thirty years. I have five wonderful children, a son and daughter in law and two precious grandchildren who I adore. I have been on staff at my current church for 18 years as their Children's Pastor and am an aspiring author of curriculum and children's books.

I am a graduate of Ohio Christian University with a BA in Christian Education and Missions.  I love creating lessons, leading children in worship and finding ways to make the gospel of Jesus Christ relevant and exciting to young hearts.  I love to write my own curriculums, but I also love to take curriculum and tweak it to make it fit my ministry needs. 

I developed "Plugged In" for my denomination as a training event to encourage and train our Sunday School and Junior Church leaders.  I have the privilege of training and equipping teachers to better minister to children and have a blast doing so.  My desire is to help children's workers get "plugged in" to the children they work with and their ministry gifts and potential.  Only when something is "plugged in" can it work like it was intended to!  I hope this site will help you "Plug In" to all God wants to do in you and through you!
